The Comfortaire airbed was designed so that you can place it directly on the foundation you already have (cool huh). If you wish to purchase a new foundation it is best to buy one close to home. Many of our customers have asked why we don't carry foundations. Well it's simple, we want you to get the highest quality product at the best value you can find.
Most foundations are constructed of wood, therefore cannot be "broken down" for shipping. This increases your shipping cost tremedously. Now we all know and love our local shipping and postal services, but they also tend to be, well uh; heavy handed. In the past we have found that customers have received only what resembled a foundation, much to their disappointment. So we reccomend that you purchase your foundation (should you need one at all) at your local mattress retail store. Many cities now have mattress outlets where you can find foundations at very reasonable prices.
If you wish for the fabric of your mattress to match your foundation that's simple. We carry what are called "coverlets" that fit snuggly over the top of your foundation. Voila, a matching set. If you wish to purchase a coverlet just let Rob know when you call in your order, or shoot us an e-mail and we'll get it out to you.
